Wizards Celebrate In Chicago After Closing Out The Series

Posted on April 30, 2014 by Trevor Jackson

The Washington Wizards took down the Chicago Bulls on the road last night to close out the series in 5 games and advance to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in 9 years. And there was much rejoicing.

John Wall comes through with the quote of the night: "Yeahhhhhhhhh. It's awesommmeee. Ahhhhhhh." Maybe that's not an exact quote, but seeing him celebrate in the halls of the United Center after winning his first playoff series in the NBA certainly makes you feel good for him after all the hard work he has put in. Well deserved John.

Bradley Beal took the more conservative route, saying "We're still not done though. We got another series to go. Take it one game at a time. We gotta keep rolling." I like that approach too, celebrate for a night, then it's back to business. On to the next one.

Check out the video below, including lots of man hugs, yells, and Ernie Grunfeld high fives, as Monumental's video crew followed the team after the win.
